Time to Remodel Your Bathroom?
Soon winter will be a distant memory. It’s time to tackle that list of home improvement projects you’ve started to write down all winter long. Right now the most popular remodeling project is to update and remodel your bathroom. Whether you have a small space and simply want to change out tile, vanities, countertops, or you want to expand and renovate some existing space, Kolby Construction can expertly guide you through the process of remodeling your bathroom.
Your bathroom is definitely a room in your home that you want to be comfortable and feel clean and refreshed when you enter. There are some things to consider when planning out your bathroom renovation. When you are going to remodel your bathroom using the existing space you have, the goal is to transform the space into something beautiful and new! Most older bathrooms have the standard tub/shower, sink/vanity, and of course the water closet. However, the current trend for a smaller bathroom is to forget about the small bathtub and instead opt for a luxurious custom shower with built in niches, and even tile benches. Framless glass enclosures now replace shower curtains and tract shower doors for a more modern, clean look. Subway tiles are now the popular choice for shower walls in all different textures and finishes, from marble to gloss, and a matte stone finish. Flooring tile options range from mosaic sheets to a new longer blank brick style. Check out a some pictures from projects we have completed in the Charlotte, NC area that feature the newest trends….
- In this bath remodel we utilized the existing footprint but removed the small bathtub and built a luxurious custom tiled shower with marble subway tile, custom soap niche, and a frameless glass showe enclosure. The floor tile features marble tile with a tile rug inlay. New dark stained vanity with a marble countertop sink, and brushed nickel accents throughout.
- This bath features white subway tile on the walls and tub surround with colored glass mosaic accents for that pop of color. Floor features larger plank style tile in a charcoal grey/black.
- In this guest bathroom travertine tiles takes center stage with varying sizes of tile throughout the bathroom floor and shower. Shampoo/soap niches and corner ledges make the shower look beautiful and inviting. A bowl sink and new vanity complete the fabulous look!
